Ohio Northern University’s first art and design juried show
was held on Saturday, March 17. Students from every year were encouraged to submit
works into the show. Students had to have created it in any design class they
had taken or were currently taking. Out of my three submissions, one design
made it into the show. This past Monday, we, the designers who submitted work
into the show, hung the works in the Stambaugh gallery in the Freed Center. The
juried show soon became the obvious choice for me to do my next social media
assignment on.
For our social media assignment this past week, we were told
to create a video. Immediately, I knew I wanted to take a video of the juried
show. Sure, I wanted to display everyone’s gorgeous work to the world, but I
mostly just wanted an excuse to show off my design. My piece shown for the show
is the best thing I have ever made. I am so proud of it. I love knowing one day
I will hate the piece because I will have grown as a designer and can make much
better things. It is a very exciting thought.
I hope everyone gets the chance to walk through the
Stambaugh gallery and look at the pieces in person. If you are not able to see
it in person or just want a peek into what the show looks like, watch the video
I shot as I was walking through the show!
